After years of testing various sup designs, we knew there had to be more out there. We liked touring boards for their capacity to carry luggage and straight tracking – point a- to b but always felt they were too narrow to put an extra person comfortably up-front and nimble enough to catch the odd wave or turn on a dime…
We wanted all the options – a board that was nimble enough that as the paddler advanced, they might hop on the tail and turn it on a dime, switch out the fin for a smaller one and put it in the waves, but most importantly offered the most for most paddleboarders – fun, versatility, and the opportunity to bring everyone … and everything along for the ride!
The COVE Explorer 11'6" is that do everything board – light and nimble enough thanks to the narrow and round tail shape, but big enough and stable enough to take an overnight bag, a kid, or even two adults, or a dog along with you. Despite being able to carry a load and being built for a lifetime of abuse, the Explorer moves quickly and weighs only 36 lbs.

Not All Sups are Created Equal

- COVE Diamond-Grip™ EVA foam deck pad is designed to be durable, comfortable, and extremely grippy
- Boards are tested to 2800 pounds per square foot of pressure and valves are also produced in a separate factory and tested to a 2800 PSF threshold (SGS Labs)

Sustainability

- Carbon performance paddles. If you’re new to paddleboarding, someone will tell you these are a must. They aren’t but they aren’t. The one we included is a good reliable paddle. But carbon is stiff and very light, cove offers a line of amazing carbon paddles new for Summer 2021.
